Propofol is a fast-acting intravenous anaesthetic used to maintain sedation during surgery, medical procedures and intensive care. Due to its high efficacy and safety profile, propofol is widely used in hospitals and clinics worldwide. Propofol is a liposomal emulsion; the particle size must be stabilized at approximately 300 nm, with no significant change in particle size before and after serialization. It must be produced under strict aseptic conditions to ensure safety and stability.

Vector has partnered with a governmental propofol manufacturing plant in Russia to provide our 500 L/h high pressure homogenizer.
