VectraFlo TP15 Pilot-scale Tangential Flow Filtration System

Fully Integrated Design

The VectraFlo TFF system features a fully integrated, all-in-one design that combines feed peristaltic pumps, auxiliary peristaltic pumps, control and data acquisition software, pressure/conductivity monitoring, and automatic backpressure control in a single unit. No additional accessories are required, streamlining setup and operation for biopharmaceutical manufacturing.

Fully Automated Operation

Powered by intelligent process control software, the system enables fully automated tangential flow filtration. Users can set custom trigger points based on processing volume to automatically start, stop, and switch between unit operations like concentration and diafiltration, with fully customizable process sequences for unattended, consistent bioprocessing.

Exceptional Flexibility

Engineered to align with modern single-use, closed bioprocessing workflows, the VectraFlo TFF system is equipped with single-use pressure sensors. This design minimizes cleaning requirements, eliminates cross-contamination risks, and delivers unmatched operational flexibility for diverse biopharmaceutical applications.

Broad Compatibility

The system offers universal compatibility with multiple brands and specifications of hollow fiber modules and flat-sheet membrane cassettes. Simply input key specification data, and the software automatically calculates critical process parameters such as shear rate and flux, simplifying method transfer and process optimization.

Scalable Performance

Built on a consistent design principle across R&D, pilot, and production-scale systems, the VectraFlo TFF platform enables linear scale-up based on core parameters like main pump outlet flow rate and shear rate. This ensures seamless process transfer from lab to full-scale manufacturing, meeting the operational requirements of filters across all production sizes.

GMP-Compliant Design

With GMP-aligned hardware and software architecture, the VectraFlo tangential flow filtration system meets strict regulatory requirements for biopharmaceutical production. It is ideally suited for small-scale manufacturing in advanced therapy fields such as cell and gene therapy, ensuring process reliability and regulatory compliance.

Recombinant Protein Production

Ideal for harvesting, purifying, and concentrating recombinant protein products derived from E. coli, yeast, and various mammalian cell expression systems. The VectraFlo TFF system ensures efficient recovery of high-value biotherapeutics including insulin, GLP-1, collagen, and other recombinant proteins, supporting consistent process performance across R&D to production scales.

Antibody & Bi-specific Molecule Processing

The platform excels in downstream processing for monoclonal antibodies (mAbs), bispecific antibodies, antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs), and antibody fragments. Its precise concentration and diafiltration capabilities enable seamless buffer exchange and protein polishing, meeting the stringent purity and yield requirements for advanced antibody therapeutics.

Cell Therapy Manufacturing

Designed for cell-based therapies, the VectraFlo TFF system supports critical unit operations for T cells, NK cells, induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs), and mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs). It enables efficient harvesting, concentration, and washing of therapeutic cells while preserving cell viability and functionality, aligning with the unique workflow demands of cell therapy production.

Gene Therapy & Viral Vector Production

The system is optimised for gene therapy applications, including concentration and diafiltration of viral vectors such as lentivirus (LV) and adeno-associated virus (AAV), as well as oncolytic viruses. It also supports concentration and buffer exchange of plasmid DNA, mRNA, siRNA, and lipid nanoparticles (LNPs), ensuring scalable and gentle processing to preserve the integrity of fragile genetic materials.

Vaccine & Novel Biologic Development

The VectraFlo TFF system is well-suited for vaccine production and the development of next-generation biologics. It facilitates concentration and buffer exchange of viruses, viral vectors, and virus-like particles (VLPs). Additionally, it supports the harvesting and purification of recombinant protein-based vaccine antigens and the preparation of nucleic acid-based vaccines and novel adjuvants, providing a versatile solution for vaccine R&D and manufacturing.
